Allie will stay in Lake Charles for one or 2 more weeks but not always at the same spot. When I talked to him on the phone he told me he'd be at another end of the town for a while. I am pretty sure he will be found though.

"Well tomorrow I will be leaving China Texas and headed into Beaumont, so watch out for me on the 90a because there are no sidewalks or side roads to walk on. God has my back on that one but do your part and be looking out please. Anyway, China was very different than I expected. On the 90a, you will never see just how wonderful China is until you turn left or right at the intersection and head into the town or the neighborhoods. What a surprise!! And not to mention the Diamond S Diner, where Angie and her husband do miracles with their food, and the service is excellent and I feel right at home. Thanks China for the support and friendliness. I overheared a conversation between Allie and some people who were just telling him that someone else got kicked out because he was asking some questions.
People may get kicked out of this library but hey if they keep on doing that they may one day find out that workers can get removed also and replaced with someone who has common sense and good manners.

cause im on the dock and can fish everyday, caught two so far. Been walking
thru the community and met some very nice people like Ashley, Cody, there son
Keegan, and there master rib cooking brother Matthew(Rib Man) Also, Alex, the
head man at the American Legion has really been the best in helping me to feel
comfortable here. And I must mention the great officers at the Sugar Land
Police Dept. Again, I see just how great the police are in these small towns
and how wonderful they are with strangers. As long as you abide by there laws
and are a good person, you get treated with the upmost respect but if you break
laws they must do their jobs and make your life miserable. So when you come to
these small towns, make the right choices and enjoy them. And that goes for all
of America, because I have been walking across this country for quite some time
now and every police dept. has been wonderful, the people have been fantastic,
and I have been so blessed to have the opportunity to see just how beautiful
this country is. I am so proud of this country and the people. My only concern
is our government and the people running it, and the they dont hear us and our
concerns. God says to follow the laws and leaders of the land, but how can that
be when they dont care for the people they are suppose to govern and protect.
Coruption and plain greed seems to follow our leaders once they get our votes
and that is just not right nor is it legal or moral. God does not make
mistakes, we do , but he gives us the opportunity to correct our mistakes. I am
not a activist nor do I walk in protest about anything. I just simply see what
I see and speak on it, but my main goal is to show the world that America and
its people are truly wonderful, even tho we know thers some idiots here, we
are still one of the best countries in the world, and diffinately the most
blessed. God truly is here and I am so proud to say that I am an American..God
Bless all of you and Sugar Land, thank you for the support and the love you
have shown me and I will be here till after the fourth of july so I will be
walking around with my rickshaw meet more of you getting to know more of this

awsome this town is. My first encounter is with the YMCA. What a wonderful
place to hang out. Angela and Kathy and their crew are such a wonderful group
of people to be around. Jess, the Community Executive Director, Angela, The
Membership Director, Kathy, The Healthy Living Senior Director, and all of the
employees of theT.W.Davis YMCA are like living angels that God put here just
for the purpose of showing the world how much love and care it takes to handle
all types of people and to let them know how special we all are to each other.
I am so proud of them and what they are doing in this community. The WMCA
across America is a wonderful organization to be a part of and I personally
want to thank them for employing such caring and beautiful people and also for
going to areas where no one else will go and truly making a odvious difference.
The Richmond P.D. and Fire Dept. are another exceptional bunch of people that
have inspired me to stay a little longer here and learn more of this town and
its heritage. I have Ulli to post the City of Richmond webb site on my updates
page and go to the picture page and see the pics. White fire trucks is
definately something you dont see everyday. Well I will be leaving here
tomorrow to the City of Sugarland Tx. God has truly blessed me to see such
wonderful things and to be able to share these things with you. So like I said
so many times, as you go thru these small little places stop and see the towns
and the history of them. You will be pleasently surprised at what you see and

He will be back on the road soon but tomorrow he is invited by the city of Wharton to attend the Juneteenth celebration and is looking forward to it.
The city of Rosenberg was very unique in many ways, but what
stands out the most for me is the fact that the Rosenberg P.D. made me feel so
comfortable while I made my way across their city. I have been thru a lot of
cities and towns across America and every one of them has been wonderful, but
in this case the Police were so outstanding in their professionalism and the
way they showed a no tolerance for criminal activities. Yet they stayed so
upbeat and fun loving, we had a blast. Rosenburg, be so greatful for your P.D.
because they protect and serve for real and have fun doing it.

Allie told me on the phone today that he will walk to Rosenberg tomorrow and it will be a dangerous 15 miles. He said there are no shoulders on the highway and he does not feel too good about that. So please... if you are a trucker or even just a regular car driver using that highway...be cautious and look out for him. Dave Curry, all I can say is you are a wonderful pastor with a message from God that only you can deliver, keep it going. We need more men like you, Eagle Lake should be proud to have a councilman like you. You are the artist that inspires...thank you. I think Eagle Lake is Texas best kept secret. I found some here so special that meeting her changed me life, and the spirit of life is so deep in her. Cynthia, thank you for the life change and hold tight too what your desires are and stand tough to your dreams because they are about to come true. You are so special and I thank you for the smiles. But to let all of you know that without Chris and Lina and their family and allowing me to camp out in there back yard, they have proved to the world that American families are so caring and loving and will lend a hand and show love to strangers. I have a special love in my heart them and will be back and will stay in contact. I could go on forever and mention everyone of the wonderful people in Eagle Lake but you know who you are so with that said, I love you all and thank you. He also told me that he is at the Colorado Lake a few miles before Eagle Lake and he will spend the night there and fish. While we were talking he saw a Aligator in the water and decided to stop fishing and just rest for the night. He will be in Eagle Lake on the 9th of May so watch out for this great guy and holla at him.

03-14-2012 - Allie's report about Shiner...
Im still at Adam Brunkenhoefers house who is the Shiner Police Chief. It was really wonderful of him to allow me to stay there. He is so awsome and down to earth and most important a good christian man. And I also want to mention Erick of Ericks P.C. for the help in my fliers and the work on my computer. They are true examples of how wonderful Americans are and true examples of how strong God is here in America. I also want to thank Cindy of the Kasper House B&B for her friendliness and her patience in putting up with all the visitors that came to see me while I was there. She was so kind and works so hard, you go girl! Also Lisa and Tony have been a big part of why Shiner is so wonderful. They invited me to a beautiful wedding on Saturday of Shaun and Andrea Jurica, my congrats and thank you two for letting me sing the blessing of the food prayer song. It was such a wonderful wedding. Now my main thanks must go to Beverly, the owner of Antiques Art and Beer. She told me a wonderful story of how she started the store and how its the only store of its kind anywhere in the world, shop and drink your choice of 170 wines and 150 beers while you shop and also listen to local groups sing on any given day except Monday, which she is closed. I like her place so much that I donated my world famous rickshaw coolie hat to her, it seems to fit right in with the store. But most of all I want to thank all of Shiner for the friendship you all have shown me and the welcome I recieved from almost everyone I met. All of You should be so proud of your city and believe me it shows in the cleanliness and friendliness of towns I have ever walked into. So if anyone is heading this way on the 90A you must stop in here, and dont leave here without tasting Fridays Chicken, especially the deserts. Must see places in Shiner...
The Spoetzl Brewery, founded in 1909, is Texas' oldest independent brewery. They still practice the art of brewing, hand-crafting each brew one at a time, and then aging each Shiner Beer naturally for no less than thirty days to guarantee its exceptionally smooth taste. In the tradition of Bavarian Brewmaster Kosmos Spoetzl, Shiner's little brewery proudly produces Shiner Blonde, Shiner Bock, Shiner Light, and several other specialty brews ... depending upon the season.

The Old Kasper House, built in 1906, was the model home of local building contractor, alderman, and cotton ginner John F. Kasper and his wife, Mary. It was an elegant home where old-world traditions were practiced and preserved from 1898 to 1960, including bee-keeping, wine-making, and woodworking. In 1986, Mary Ann and Hubert Novak began converting this lovely Victorian-style home into the Old Kasper House Bed & Breakfast.
After lots of loving hard work, we now have several different homes and cottages from which to choose. Each place has bedrooms, private baths, and living and dining areas with unique character and personality.
The Old Kasper House Bed & Breakfast is the perfect destination for visitors to Shiner and weary travelers alike. It's just the place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city ... only 80 miles from Austin and just over 100 miles from San Antonio or Houston ... we're 20 miles south of IH-10.
Once you arrive in Shiner, the Old Kasper House Bed & Breakfast is located just 2 blocks off Highway 90A ... just a stone's throw from downtown Shiner and the Spoetzl Brewery.
One of Shiner's real jewels is the Catholic Church. Blessed under the names of Saints Cyril and Methodius, two missionaries who first brought Christianity to Bohemia and Moravia, the church is truly an awe-inspiring sight. Dedicated in 1921, the red brick Romanesque Revival style architecture features a majestic altar, painted murals, beautiful statues, and astonishing stained glass windows imported from Bavaria.
In 1994, a total renovoation of the church began with the bell tower being repaired and a stained glass window of the Good Shepherd installed above the main entrance at the front of the church. In 1995, the interior walls were repainted and sealed, carpet was laid throughout the church floors, pews were repaired and stained, and statues were touched up.
Almost 100 years after its dedication, the church is still known as one of the most eye-catching landmarks in South Central Texas, drawing visitors from around the world who stop regularly to photograph and tour the church. Its beauty is enhanced by six stained glass windows and a huge mural of Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane which overlooks the altar.

He was already interviewed by the Shiner Gazette and enjoys the time he needs to recover until he keeps walking again which will be soon. The people are as nice as they can be and everybody is treating him just great.

02-22-2012 - Still in Gonzales...
David Jr. took us down to the river and we tried to find a good fishing spot but the fish wouldn't bite. Instead we saw a turtle siting on a rock in the sun before the slid in the water to disapear.
Allie and I went to the local radio station and he explored the town with me on the rickshaw. We visited a school and Allie gave a rickshaw ride to Annette (she took care of the new flyers and works at the local print shop) and her daughter who enjoyed it very much.
The day after that Allie went for a long walk to visit the churches here in town. In some of them he will be attending the service and sing.
Yesterday early evening Michelle, a lady we have met before came over with her two daughters who wanted a ride badly and got it of course. Allie also talked to Pastor Daniel who blessed the rickshaw to be safe on the road.
The new motorcycle...
We did some cruising around town and a long ride to Seguin, visiting Ana & Mike going on the alternate 90, the way we walked over here. It was amazing to see how much walking we did to get to Gonzales. On the way back we went through Kingsbury and Luling, then Belmont and back to the house.
It was just so much fun.

We had a chance to take some pictures and talk. While walking they passed us and then a while later we passed them again and so on. That's were we met Rob, a reporter of The Gonzales Inquirer who took pictures and interviewed Allie about the journey and wrote a nice big article which came out today. At this point I couldn't really keep up anymore and Allie was worried and suggested to get me picked up by David Sanchez, a friend we made while at the Garcia campground. I agreed and was very happy to see him a little while later. Him and his fiance Miranda gave us a place to stay in their house. Allie got there in the early evening. He was completly exhausted.
The next day we went to explore Gonzales and stopped at a BBQ Place in town. The food was too expensive for what we had on us and on our way out we ran into Wayne LePori. He invited us and Allie stayed to eat while I got problems breathing again and went outside to wait for him.
The two men did talk about me inside and Wayne offered to take me to a clinic to get me checked out on his cost. It was hard to convince me to go (my mind was set on Niquill to get some rest) and it took another man talking to me to give in and finally let them have their way. Now thinking back I am very grateful that they did make me change my mind. Wayne Took me to the VAZ Clinic in Gonzales and made sure I was seen by Dr. Vaz personally. A couple more days and I would've probably developed a pneumonia the Dr. told me and gave me a prescription for medication which we had to wait for at Walmart and we took the time to let Wayne show us his farm and cattle and some parts of the town.
Back at Walmart Wayne payed for the very expensive sprays and inhalers and the antibiotics without hesitation but I was so shocked that someone who knew us only for such a little time would do such a big thing for us. I am so grateful that we met this wonderful man who cared for perfect strangers and became a friend.
The Sanchez Family...

Today Allie, David & Dillon Sanchez and I went to a river fishing. Nobody caught anything...maybe the fish had other plans than beingon a hook but we grilled some chilli sausages and had drinks. I was also taking some beautiful pictures which you can see in the picture section.
02-10-2012 / Out in the boonies...
We couldn't stop in the middle of nowhere to set up the tent so we walked on trying to find a good spot and shortly before we gave up hope, Allie saw lights and we made it to the property of the Wiliams family in the dark. Allie knocked on the door, explaining who we are and asking if maybe we could camp on the property to get shelter from the rain and there was no hesitation. We set up the tent in the rain and my lights went out as soon as I was able to get in my Mummy Bag, while Allie went back in the house for a little while meeting part of the family. The next day we spent time with the Williams (which is a pretty big family), they cooked us breakfast, we had coffe and they started spoiling us. We ended up staying for a few days until the weather got better.
Guess what we had to eat yesterday? They heated up the barn and we gathered together in there, having the best fried catfish, onion rings, french fries and other goodies. After that the guys went out to see if they could find some hogs but were out of luck. We will stay until the weekend and if the weather is clear, walk again. Again, it will be hard to say Goodbye but we know we will see them all again one day. We found more friends which we would like to stay in touch with.
A special THANK YOU goes out to Mr. Garcia who was so nice to let us stay on his property without charging us for it, for him coming buy to talk to us when time permited it because he is a real busy man. That was a extremly nice thing to do and we sure appreciate it.

the Disabled American Veterans was on Allie's schedule today. He went there to talk to the veterans and even had a chance to sing a song.
01-22-2012 / The BIG HOME MAKEOVER
Cristina Rivera invited us and her best friend Susie Koombs who is a beautiful and lovable at first sight person to the The BIG HOME MAKEOVER REVEAL which took place yesterday in Floresville, Texas and will be aired end of 2012. Allie and I talked and walked all afternoon while Cristina massaged the crew. We took lots of pictures and we ran out of flyers in no time. The crowd of people got bigger with every hour and when they started to film for tv everyone tried to get a good spot.
We are tall but had to step on a chair on a hill to get a somewhat good view. We met veterans - our heroes - film crews; we met a man who gave next to his own 4 children - 9 disabled kids a home. Him and his wife adopted them - they are heroes too. We met bikers with the most beautiful bikes and the list goes on...
All together I believe Allie and I stood about 4 hours on a chair until finally ...finally...the Harris Family arrived and we all could scream: "MOVE THAT BUS... MOVE THAT BUS" and eperience real close the reaction of SSGT Harris when the bus moved and they could see the house. It was a amazing day but it was also amazing to take off our boots when we arrived at about 11.30 PM at the Garcia's house. A air matress hasn't felt this good in quite a while. I uploaded a lot of pictures to the website, so make sure you check them out.

Yesterday we went downtown again to visit places and pass out flyers. We ran out of them the day before and we promised to be back. The the phone was ringing and Robert & Gene said they'd be coming to meet us and we got invited for lunch at the Ticket. We had a great time with them. Later on we introduced them to our host family before they went back home. Then we sat Momma Isabel on the Rickshaw and went for a stroll with her. In the picture section you can see how much fun she had. We were also invited to the Silver Center for a Country Dance Evening but we were just too tired to go. When we got back to the house we just sat and talked - there was no more strength left but we sure do appreciate all invitations and all the people we met that day.

This family is so nice and in no time we became friends; Mike & Ana, Frank and Isabel. There is also a daughter Ann-Marie who lives in San Antonio and a son Michael who serves in the US Marines in Okinawa. We had a nice evening getting to know each other, laughed a lot and slept like babies.
The next morning they had a breakfast waiting which was one of the best we had in a while. Tonight we will sleep in their house. They felt bad letting us sleep in the tent they said but to us it was a blessing that we had it warm and in case of rain dry and also safe.

01-02-2012 / Still in La Vernia until the 6th of January...
New Years in La Vernia was truly different and nice. The past 2 years they had no firedworks here. It was banned because everything was just too dry and things may have caught on fire. This year was different and we enjoyed seeing it while sitting on the patio. The next day Reuben took us to church with him and that also was very nice and enjoyable. People in this town and the surrounding ones are just very friendly and always have a smile on their faces.

We went in, got into talking to Lony, Marty & Barry and they told us where to find the American Legion, made phone calls to make sure we wouldn't have any problems to set up the tent and treated us really nice.
We got to the AL but is was getting very dark already and setting up the tent was not that easy and it got cold....very cold. All of a sudden the phone rang and Marty said she'd be on her way with coffee, pizza, soda's and beer. Thank you all for this special treat!!! For us it couldn't have gotten any better.
The next morning we dried the blankets and sleeping bags in the first morning sun, packed up and left to keep on walking. It was only a distance of 12 miles but it was one of the most exhausting ones since Castroville.
Walking into La Vernia the sign said population 951. We met one out of those 951 on the highway and the man overheared a conversation about us asking around for another place to set up the tent. He actually came and offered us "out of the blue" to stay in a little house on his property. He said there was no furniture bcause he is working on it but for us it couldn't have gotten any better. Inside? Kinda warm? Now that was a invitation we were loking forward to. 1 1/2 more miles down the road on the left side..."you can't miss it" he said. He owns a Deli & Grill called "Taste of Chicago" and you get the best food you can imagine. Try it and you'll understand. It's just too good to describe it. Reuben and his wife Barbara run the place and they are wondeful people. We are happy that we got a chance to meet them.

My oldest daughter called to tell me that my dog, my partner for 14 years, my guard and best friend had passed away. I just needed a break and they gave it to me understanding how I felt. One bad thing happend to us out here though. Someone stole Allie's bag with all his socks, underwear etc. from the rickshaw while we were sleeping. I know we probably won't get it back but we know God will take good care of us and replace these things in time.

After passing the bridge the first thing stopping us are Sergeant Carlos Gonzales, Detective Ray Dustin and DET. J.R. Aleman from the San Antonio Police Department. They invited us into the station, offered us water and treated us just really nice while Allie talked to them and signed the flyers to each one of them.
After that we moved on and went all the way to the Hemisphere Park where we spent the night in our sleeping bags. We couldn't set up the tent there and it was too late anyways and too dark to find more than what we had. It was a interesting night, cold, me complaining about my huge blister from breaking in the new walking boots but we made it and sit at Mc Donalds right now where I can use the internet to keep you updated.

Good music, great conversation and so much fun. Allie got a beautiful and very useful flashlight and that made his day. We got sleeping bags and a new pillow from Victor and I got two very special things from Cowboy Sam: a cross that is supposed to keep us save on the road and a real Cowboy hat which was signed by everyone that was in the bar. You guys are so special and we will be back....just like we said we would be for more fun with friends we truly appreciate. Lee, make sure you keep that crowd together because it's a good one and we'd like to see them all again. Also, thank you so much for the breakfast that was sitting outside the tent in the morning before we walked on...that was really special Rita.

Right now we are camping out at a beautiful historic site, managed by Jose Zapata and run by
Glenn, Libby and Sadie "who are so much fun" to talk to. They have been taken very good care of Allie and Roxy.
This very historic place is definitly worth it to stop by and check it out. Not only is it beautiful and filled with great people; it is something that makes you go "wow".
Last but not least: Thank you Jason & Julie for picking me up from the airport and for making sure Allie and I could meet in time at the airport in San Antonio. That was so sweet of you guys and it was a pleasure to me the both of you. Allie told me about you on the phone already and he was not lying....you are awesome as well as Catroville Computers and the sweetest ladies you can meet working there.

When he got back to this town he met Gilbert Zamora who owns a store called Gree's Boutique. There his earring got fixed and the watch that needed a new battery as well and to let you know how small the world is ...he ran into a girl named Sonja which he has met in Oceanside, Ca. before. It was nice to see her again he said.
Life wasn't really pleasant the past few month but he thinks positive and continues to walk for the American people, to bring back to memory that God is truly wonderful; this country is beautiful and anything is possible if you put your mind on it. Allie has been ran over by a car, got attacked by havalina's, lost a daughter, got bitten by a spider (written down in the order it all happend). Unbearable heat, heavy rains or storms destroyed his belongings, some of is valuables got stolen,
he got very sick and had to stay in El Paso for much longer than he had planned and the list goes on.
He did not loose his spirit and kept in mind what the reason was for him to do this walk. He is back now, he's in good shape and ready to hit the road. He has made it more than half way and now with every step Florida is coming closer.

She tried to fight his horrible illness but God decided to call her home. She will be missed every minute of a day, never fogotten and loved eternaly. Besides her parents does she leave her husband and her three kids.

Basically his service is going to be the same as it was with Net 10, it’s $50 a month for unlimited talk, text and web, when someone chooses to make a donation it will just get posted the account and those funds will be used towards that package that renews every month. Just a matter of time...
Many I talked to will like these news because they waited for the day he can be tracked again via website and it will be exciting again to follow him.
He says that he will move quicker now because the distances between the towns in this horribly hot state are getting shorter.
He will stop to eat and rest for before he walks to the next location. Staying in one place for a long time is not the easiest thing he says because moving on is getting harder by the day if he does. He has to be physically very fit and doing the walk quicker will keep him in the desired shape.
The family is excited too because Florida is still far away and now we will see steady progress again and we'll have a little happiness in our lives again. Something to look forward to. Getting closer to home...step by step. That is what we've been waiting for impatiently patient.

Also, Allie is still in El Paso. He had to get medical treatment at the Sierra Medical Center. Kidney stones had to be removed and a infection cured which he got during the attack of the Havalinas. He got bit by one. He had to wait until the doctor gave him the ok to keep on walking. I haven't talked to him in a few days and my last information was that it was snowing. The rickshaw is not made for snow and rainy days. It is impossible to pull it through mudd and on icey roads.
I tried to call him throughout the weekend but got no connection. Today the phone was ringing but Allie didn't answer. So, for right now this is all the update I have for you until I can reach him.
A special "THANK YOU" goes out from here to the staff of the Sierra Medical Center who did a great job removing those kidney stones (I have to tell you a secret ... the big tall man runs when he sees needles and I believe it wasn't really a easy thing to stick one in his arm for getting a little bit of blood).
Not only Allie wants to thank you guys but also the entire family who was very worried.
As soon as I know when he will move on I will let you all know.

The reason is that he is not well and that could have several reasons. The kidney is just one of them.
Since his health is way more important than anything else he agreed to get himself checked at the Veterans Hospital in El Paso and is on his way already. Just before it got crucial he was really excited about his High School, Monrovia, winning the championship in football beating Whittier 38 to 8. We will keep you informed about his condition and hope that it is nothing too serious but are aware of the fact that it could be.
He is sure that he will continue his walk next Monday though.

The Marfa Lights
Ever hear of the Marfa Lights? Until tonight, I hadn't either. Apparently there are some lights that appear randomly off highway 90 in Texas. Some of the lights are stationary while some have been described as doing a "mating dance."
Scientists claim these lights are caused by headlights bouncing off phosphorescent material in the granite surrounding this particular area of Texas.
There are plenty of pages on the net and many different stories to it. It's up to the individual what to believe but they are nice to look at.

Needless to say that Allie is now between a rock and a hard place and does not only need the emotional support. So if you can spare a few dollars....please...donate. Every cent counts and even the smallest ammount will pile up sooner or later. It's very safe to do this here on the page. You can choose between phone minute donations and regular donations. The money will be transfered in a very safe way and you will get a receipt for it which is tax deductable.
He is doing something that helps a lot of people, not only in America, but worldwide. He is willing to give it all he got and make it to Florida, taking the danger, the risk of running out of water or food or phone minutes that keeps him connected to the family, as well as taking the emotional pain of being far away from the ones he loves. It's only him and Roxy on a long journey through heat, floods, (thunder)storms; He is in the wilderness and has to sleep with one eye open. Not only because of humans who could harm him, but also because there are snakes (Texas has 68 different kinds and 15 are poisonous), Centipedes, Scorpions, Spiders etc. Often he is out there somewhere with nobody to communicate with for many days and that is harder than you could ever imagine.
He still has a long way to go and Texas is the hardest part and the longest distance to the next state. I would understand it easily if he would give up but I also support him any way I can because it is a dream he has and I want him to be able to follow through on what he started. He is on a mission and I stand behind him every step of the way. That's why I ask you to actively engage to help Allie to finish what he started last year in California.
Please, make it a little easier on him and help out. Your support will be highly appreciated not only by Allie but also by the entire family who is often worried sick about him when there is no connection at all.

The past few days....
I am very impressed by their way of life. They are a good example of how America was built. It was the hard work of the small town people and the love of the families that worked together hand in hand and expressing love at the same time.
Their relatives the Machuca family - Angelica, Arlene, Andrew and Andy, as well as the Carbajal family, Orlando (BB), Mari, Tonya, Peter and Erica.
They all show that working not only for themselves but as a family unit - always willing to lend a hand and they show that family love is what builds nations.
America was build on loving family values that we seem to have forgotten about. Its time for all Americans to go back to being good neighbors and for families to start coming back together, work hard and bring the American Dream back in the mix. We need to show our Government that we are the same people that loved them enough to put them there to guide us back to what America should be - which is the land of the free and opportunity.

The BLACK WIDOW MC has offered to give me a escort out of town when I decide to leave, which will be hard to do. I would like to thank Pastor Clyde Mahan and his wife Glenda for letting me and Al stay at the church for a couple of days until the weather impoved. We are very grateful for the hospitality.
We stopped at the Desert West Moteland and have been treated to a wonderful big hamburger by John, a real nice fellow who was staying there.
The staff was so nice to let us camp out on the property. Marvin, the owner can call himself lucky to have Rick, Rachel and Trey working for him. They are great employees that helped us feel at home.
Don't forget to stop by at "Starvin Marvin's Restaurant & Grill" because the food is really good.

2010-02-12/GPS Tracking works again.
As of right now, Allie is still in Willcox. He's waiting for the rickshaw being fixed. He hopes to be leaving on Monday.
Be patient - GPSIT is trying to fix the problem as fast as possible.
Since the weather is still bad I will stay probably until Sunday. This is my very first time on a Ranch and I can only recommend this place to you if you are looking for a something where you can have some peace of mind and rest for your soul. I am having so much fun here.
I learned some things about horses and Sunday morning I will actually get on one. I was told it will be a genuine one. So that will be fun too. Many pictures have been taken meanwhile but it will be a little while until people send them to be put on the web here. Just keep checking for them.
Monday, if the weather permits I will walk again.
I went for the horse ride and it was agreat new experience. My horse Cisco was really a good one and I enjoyed the time with him.
I had a interview witht Thelma Grimes of the San Pedro Valley News-Sun newspaper and met two police officers who helped me out after finding out who I was. Officer Molly Ingram and Officer R.L. Tulk are the best the Benson police department could offer to people.
During the bad weather situation I got permission to camp by the Super 8 Motel and met Carol Clark; the manager, the desk clerks Dallas and Seana Wert, Seanas wonderdul daughtersRaven and Skylar, Michelle Ellis and Thereasa Richards who are the housekeepers and all of them have been so nice and made me feel very comfortable.
I know that Benson will stay in my memory and will make me smile even long after the journey is over.

I had the chance to see a beautiful parade and enjoyed my time there. For 2 nights I could sleep at the Arizona Motel and - now this is an exception - Roxy could be with me.
People took pictures and loved sitting on the rickshaw. It was great! Some people invited me for a decent meal, others made generous donations, like John Clark of Waslee Auto Sales. He actually handed me 50$ and I think that was just awsome, but I also thank all others for their donation that day as well and just as much.

My time in Ajo was a delight
Well anyways, once I got there I was invited to a birthday party and to a festival where I - believe it or not - won a contest singing the song 'my girl' and for the performance. I won 100 $ and I sure was happy about that. It was so much fun! You should really go ahead and check this link of the man who made it possible...
I gave free rides on the rickshaw and especially the kids enjoyed that big time. I ran into a black guy named Ken and spent time with him watching games on tv and talking. We will keep in touch.
Thursday I will start walking again, hoping the fully loaded GPS device will send signals for everybody who is tracking my journey.

Seeley is a census-designated place (CDP) in Imperial County, California, United States. Seeley is located 7.5 miles (12 km) west of El Centro. The population was 1,624 at the 2000 census. It is part of the 'El Centro, California Metropolitan Statistical Area'.
Seeley is located at 32°47'35?N 115°41'28?W? / ?32.79306°N 115.69111°W? / 32.79306; -115.69111. Bordered on the west by the New River, Seeley sits astride the Imperial Fault and above what was once the basin of the 'Blue Lake'. Like much of the Imperial Valley, Seeley lies entirely below sea level.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.2 square miles (3.2 km²), of which, 1.2 square miles (3.1 km²) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (1.63%) is water.
The first post office at Seeley was opened in 1909. The name honors Henry Seeley, an early developer of Imperial County.
The Seeley Club is a hometown tavern that offers pool tournaments, friendly games of darts, as well as competitive leagues that are sanctioned through the National Dart Association (NDA). In fact, I believe we sponsor the oldest dart player. Ruybee Goodwin is 82 years old and plays darts on Tuesday and Thursday night dart leagues.
I arrived in Seeley at 3:30 pm (10/06/09) and was greeted by Lydia Agustin, the daytime bartender. I met all the locals from Seeley, local farmers, and was able to watch the Tuesday night dart league. (Gary Redfern owns the local dart league. His company is Dynamic Communicating)
I decided to stay here until Sunday morning (10/11/09) and El Centro will be my next stop.
On Saturday, the Seeley Club is celebrating the October Birthdays by cooking a big tri-tip dinner. The Naval Air Facility El Centro is located 3 miles from the bar. Jay Torrecielles, a young petty officer second class on the Navy Base volunteered for a tour in Iraq. The Seeley Club is also honoring his service and sending him off with one heck of a party on Saturday.
Sunday, October 11th, Nascar fans will be watching the race here at the bar while wishing they were 160 miles away at the race in Fontana. Chili dogs and NFL games will be broadcasted throughout the afternoon and into the evening.
On Monday, Oct 18th, two lady bartenders will go head-to-head when cheering for their favorite team. The San Diego Chargers meet the Denver Broncos. Lindsey Clements is a Colorado-native and is living in Westmoreland while her husband is deployed with the Motor T Unit HE in Afghanistan. We love you Rudy!!!!! Most of the locals are Charger Fans, so we will have to ensure the spices in the salsa are not too hott or I might have to extinguish the hot tempers after the carne asada dinner is served.
The owner, Kim, is going to talk with the Seeley School Superintendent to schedule an assembly and rides for the K-8 grade kids while I'm here. I love to talk about the history of the Rickshaw and educate the children. Kim also works at the Naval Air Facility and is looking to set something up at the base for me to discuss my story with the young sailors.
Also I would like to shout out a special "Thank you" to George, Bruce & Don and their families who did not only make me feel welcome and at home but also helped me taking care of my rickshaw.
The World Record pulling a rickshaw across America started again today on Sunday September 13th 2009. Allie is on the road again.

Thank You Tombstone
To the City of Tombstone, I give my thanks, love, and deepest respect. I truly appreciate the kindness and support you all have shown me, and to think that none of you knew anything about me before that horrible accident the night of the 30th of January,2009, when my world record rickshaw pull across America came to a tragic halt. But I want to thank ex- Deputy John DeMatteo for crashing into me, allowing me to get to know just how wonderful Tombstone is. I will let the whole world know that Tombstone is what America is, loving, kind supportive, and most important, down right good-hearted folk, which is why I am walking across this great country, to prove just that.
Also I want to thank President Barack Obama for the inspiration he gave me by taking on a job that is not only dangerous but almost impossible to do under the circumstances of our past administration. I applaud his strength, which is why I will continue to walk across this nation. I started in Oceanside, California on Veterans Day, November, 11, 2008, made it to Tombstone, and now I will continue from here as soon as I go get another rickshaw .in San Diego. Thank you Mr. President and First Lady, you are truly what our country needs...this walk is to show my love and support for you, maybe I will come to D.C after I get to Miami, and offer you and the First Lady a ride on the Shangri-la Rickshaw.
